Klemens Strasser has just revealed Ancient Board Game Collection for iOS. Ancient Board Game Collection brings many games from thousands of years ago to iOS with support for local and online multiplayer. These games include Hnefatafl (played by Vikings thousands of years ago), Latrunculi (a game from ancient Rome), and more with the games being designed by someone from the country of origin with the aesthetic based on art from the same country. This is definitely an interesting (and great looking) way to tackle old games. I hadn’t heard of any of these until I watched the trailer and checked out the App Store page for Ancient Board Game Collection. Watch the gameplay video below:
Barring online, there will be a training mode to play against AI and learn the basics of the games included. Ancient Board Game Collection doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but it is listed for May 11th on the App Store right now. It will be a free to download release with an in app purchase to unlock all the features. This will allow others to download it for free and play with someone who has bought it without both having to buy the game. The in app purchase price hasn’t been revealed yet. More games will be added to Ancient Board Game Collection in the future. If you’d like to check it out, you can pre-order Ancient Board Game Collection for free on the App Store for iOS here.

Young Souls was a rare Stadia timed-exclusive that launched last August and impressed us with its entertaining blend of beat-em-up combat and run-based dungeon crawling. Curious players on other platforms had to endure a lengthy delay to try the game themselves, but Young Souls finally has a console and PC release date, and it’s just over a week from …
