Apple Reveals Five Upcoming Apple Arcade Games Including Moonshot, Prune+, Construction Simulator 2+, Pro Snooker & Pool 2022+, And Sonic Dash+

By DAMN OS on April 5, 2022

For this month, Apple just revealed five upcoming games for Apple Arcade that will join the service alongside the previously announced Gear.Club Stradale and the recently released Pocket Build+ that hit on April 1st. These new announcements include one Apple Arcade Original and four App Store Greats. These will roll out from April 8th all the way until April 29th. The first set of releases arrives on April 8th in the form of Gear.Club Stradale and the endless runner Sonic Dash+. Sonic Dash+ features you dashing through 3D environments as Sonic and other characters from the series. This release will obviously not have any in app purchases, so it is going to be interesting to see how the game gets rebalanced. On April 15th, Pro Snooker & Pool 2022 that is available as a paid game joins Apple Arcade as Pro Snooker & Pool 2022+. The non Arcade Pro Snooker & Pool game has been updated a lot over the years, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Pro Snooker & Pool 2022+ is supported when it releases this month featuring all the 3D physics and visuals at 60fps from the original game.

Construction Simulator 2 that has you building your own construction company and taking control of more than 40 vehicles is available as a paid game with in app purchases on the App Store. Construction Simulator 2+ will be joining without in app purchases when it arrives on April 15th. It is unclear how balance will be since the coin in app purchases from the non Arcade game are obviously not here. The gorgeous Prune from Joel McDonald is joining Apple Arcade as an App Store great in the form of Prune+ on April 29th as well. Read our glowing review of the original here. Noodlecake’s Moonshot – A Journey Home is the Apple Arcade Original just announced for this month, and it is out on April 22nd. The physics-based puzzler features 126 levels across 7 worlds where you play as a Moon Pi trying to navigate home. I’ll update this story with the trailer when it goes live on YouTube.

Ahead of the release of the games, you can check out our forum threads for the originals. Head over to our thread for Prune here, Construction Simulator 2 here, and Sonic Dash here. We also have new threads for the Apple Arcade games. Check out our thread for Prune+ here, Construction Simulator 2+ here, Pro Snooker & Pool 2022+ here, Moonshot here, and Sonic Dash+ here For all other Apple Arcade related things, check out our dedicated Apple Arcade forum for discussion on the service and every game included here.
