Dead Cells ($8.99) from Motion Twin has been fantastic on iOS and Android thanks to various updates from Playdigious following the game’s mobile launch. Post launch, Dead Cells has gotten new content and DLC over time bringing it closer to the PC and console versions including the The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls DLC. Yesterday, Motion Twin announced that Dead Cells will be adding the Drifter from Heart Machine’s Hyper Light Drifter ($4.99) as a playable character seemingly. Check out the short GIF in the Tweet below: Knock! Knock! Some of you saw it coming: yes, the Drifter from @HeartMachineHQ will be soon in Dead Cells! He’ll bring his sense of style plus, the first and only blaster in the game’s history!#deadcells #hyperlightdrifter pic.twitter.com/wtEAKPg5OV — Motion Twin (@motiontwin) November 8, 2021 The Drifter from Hyper Light Drifter will arrive with his blaster (a first for Dead Cells). It is worth noting that this has only just been announced right now. There is no word on when it will be available on all platforms. It is likely that the PC version and maybe consoles get the Drifter from Hyper Light Drifter soon while mobile users have to wait a bit. Hopefully Playdigious can confirm if and when this content will be added to Dead Cells on iOS and Android soon. If you haven’t bought Dead Cells yet, read our review of the iOS port here.
