SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘F-Zero X’ Comes To Switch Online Expansion Pack, Plus Today’s New Releases And The Latest Sales

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 9th, 2022. In today’s article, we’ve got news of the next addition to the Nintendo 64 line-up accessible via the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. After that, we look at the pair of new titles to hit the eShop today. They’re both fairly interesting, at least. We finish things up with the usual lists of new and expiring sales. ‘F-Zero X’ Comes to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack This Friday

Up until recently, Nintendo has been announcing the next Nintendo 64 game for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers when each new one is added. When Majora’s Mask hit a couple of weeks ago, however, Nintendo didn’t mention what was coming in March. Personally, I was guessing Kirby 64 because of the pink puff’s anniversary being this month. Well, that was just plain wrong, wasn’t it? Nintendo has announced that the next addition will be none other than F-Zero X. Pretty confident in that emulator now, I guess. And hey, it’s coming soon! Like, this Friday soon. You have to be subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack to get it, of course.

New Releases

Will You Snail? ($14.99)

Every single day, game. Every single day. Anyway, this is another one of those ultra-tough platformers. The gimmick is that the AI will learn how you play and try to mess with you in a way that is particular to you. As you play, more of the story will be unfurled. A decent enough example of this type of game with a solid gimmick in the form of that dastardly AI that taunts you and dogs you so mercilessly.

Splash Cars ($6.99)

This one looks pretty fun. It’s an isometric driving game where your goal appears to be painting the various streets, yards, and buildings in each area. The police will be chasing you all the while, so you need to pull off some fast moves to stay one step ahead of them while accomplishing what you need to. Up to four players can get in on the fun via local multiplayer. It’s a port of a free-to-play mobile game, so feel free to give it a shot on your device of choice before buying it here.

Not a whole lot today, friends. A couple of Hatsune Miku games are on sale because today’s date can be read “Mi-Ku” in Japanese, so that’s cute. The Blaster Master Zero games are only on sale infrequently, and they sure are good. Touhou Luna Nights is another great Metroidvania-style game.
